Stated Truckee is a destination place for tourist.
o Downtown has always been promoted as a tourist area with lots of bars.
· Questioned why CORR would place a halfway house in close proximity of
seven bars and two wine bars.
o This location is not in close proximity to grocery stores.
· Spoke in opposition to the CORR House purchasing a second home in the High Street
neighborhood.

Marianne Grow, Truckee resident, stated:
· One recovery home in a small neighborhood is acceptable; two could be a burden.
o Why would CORR turn the neighborhood against the people they are trying to
help?
. Concerns over safety.

Town of Truckee
January 15, 2009 Regular Town Council Meeting
Page 1
