PUBLIC COMMENT - This is an opportunity for members of the public to address the Council on items which <br />are not on this agenda. Please state your name for the record. Comments are limited to three minutes. Written <br />comments should be submitted to the Town Clerk 24 hours prior to the meeting to allow for distribution. Under state <br />law the Council cannot take action on an item not on the agenda. The Council may choose to acknowledge the <br />comment or, where appropriate, briefly answer a question, refer the matter to staff, or set the item for discussion at a <br />future meeting. <br />5. PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />5.1 Proclamation to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Truckee Donner Historic <br />Society. <br />5.2 Introduction of Kimberly English, Information Technology Technician, and <br />announcement of new staffing and promotions in the Police Department. <br /> <br />6. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />6.1 Easement Abandonment, 10242 and 10442 East Alder Creek Road; Applicant Robert <br />Heller, Owner: Robert and Patty Heller. <br /> Recommended Action: 1) Adopt Resolution 2018-51 approving the abandonment of two eight- <br />foot wide public utility easements located on each side of the common property line between <br />10424 and 10442 East Alder Creek Road (APN 16-470-09 and 16-470-10; or Lot 285 and Lot <br />284 on the Processer Lakeview Estates Subdivision Map, Book 4, Page 12); and 2) Authorize <br />the Town Manager to sign the Indemnification Agreement between the Town of Truckee and <br />Robert Heller regarding APNs 16-470-09 and 16-470-10. <br />6.2 Easement Abandonment, 14805 South Shore Drive; Applicant: Krystof Bankiewicz, <br />Owner: Krystof Bankiewicz. <br /> Recommended Action: 1) Adopt Resolution 2018-54 approving the abandonment of a 221 <br />square foot portion of a 10’ Overhead Wire and Conduit easement along the parcel frontage <br />located at 14805 South Shore Drive (APN 17-270-09; or Lot 2 on the Southside Highlands <br />Subdivision Map, Book 2, Page 10); and 2) Authorize the Town Manager to sign the <br />Indemnification Agreement between the Town of Truckee and Krystof Bankiewicz regarding <br />APN 17-270-09. <br />6.3 Highway Safety Improvement Program Grant Application for Guardrail Improvements. <br /> Recommended Action: Adopt Resolution 2018-55 requesting $396,000 in Highway Safety <br />Improvement Program (HSIP) funds for guard rail replacement. <br /> <br />7.
