TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br /> California <br /> ORDINANCE 2017-08 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br /> AMENDING THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE'S ZONING MAP FOR <br /> THE TRUCKEE TAHOE AIRPORT DISTRICT PARCEL REZONE APPLICATION <br /> WHEREAS, the Truckee Tahoe Airport District is a California Special District, which <br /> operates a unique multi-county regional facility serving general and commercial aviation within <br /> Placer and Nevada Counties and shares the same aviation-oriented concerns of other airports <br /> in California; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Town of Truckee and the Truckee Tahoe Airport District entered into an <br /> Agreement in 2000 addressing certain areas of interest, including development of 22.60 acres <br /> of land proposed to be acquired by the Airport for hangar and warehouse construction; and <br /> WHEREAS, on June 18, 2003, the Town of Truckee and the Truckee Tahoe Airport <br /> District revised the Intergovernmental Agreement and under Section C of the Agreement, the <br /> Airport District agreed to rezone APN: 19-620-37 from Planned Community (PC) to Public <br /> Facilities (PF); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Town of Truckee has received an application from the Truckee Tahoe <br /> 111 <br /> Airport District, requesting a Zoning Map Amendment to rezone APN: 19-620-37 from Planned <br /> Community (PC) to Public Facilities (PF); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the proposed Zoning Map Amendment at the <br /> August 15, 2017 Planning Commission meeting, and forwarded a recommendation as proposed <br /> to the Truckee Town Council; <br /> The Town Council of the Town of Truckee Does Ordain as Follows: <br /> Section 1. <br /> Enactment. The Town of Truckee Zoning Map is hereby amended, thereby modifying <br /> the zoning district on the property known as Assessor's Parcel Number 19-620-37 from PC <br /> (Planned Community) to PF (Public Facilities) as shown on Exhibit A attached hereto and <br /> incorporated herein. <br /> Section 2. <br /> Findings. The Council hereby adopts the following findings in support of the adoption of <br /> this ordinance: <br /> A. The proposed amendment to the Zoning Map ensures and maintains internal, <br /> consistency with all of the goals, policies and actions of all elements of the General Plan and <br /> any applicable specific plan. The Council staff report dated September 12, 2017; the Council <br /> minutes of the September 12, 2017 public hearing; and the Planning Commission staff report <br /> dated August 15, 2017 are hereby incorporated herein by reference and provide a factual basis <br /> for the findings. <br /> B. The proposed amendment would not be detrimental to the public interest, health, <br /> safety, convenience or welfare of the Town. The Council staff report dated September 12, 2017; <br />
