CALL TO ORDER— Mayor Goodwin called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> 2. ROLL CALL: Council Members; Flora, Tirman, Abrams, Vice Mayor Wallace Dee, and <br /> Mayor Goodwin. <br /> Staff Present: Erica Mertens, Administrative Analyst II; Yumie Dahn, Associate Planner; <br /> Nicholas Martin, Administrative Analyst II; Todd Landry, Senior Engineer; Daniel Wilkins, <br /> Town Engineer/Director of Public Works; Nicole Casey, Senior Accountant; Becky <br /> Bucar, Engineering Manager; Chad Nelson, Senior Maintenance Worker; Darcey <br /> Messner, Plans Examiner I; Jeff Loux, Community Development Director; Andrew <br /> Morris, Town Attorney; Tony Lashbrook, Town Manager; and Jennifer Masters, <br /> Administrative Technician. <br /> 3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE— led by Mary Thompson. <br /> 4. PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> Leeds Davis, Truckee Resident: <br /> • Extended a heartfelt thank you to the Town of Truckee, and the myriad of people <br /> who work tirelessly to allow living in an area where conditions are such that it should <br /> be uninhabited. <br /> 5. PRESENTATIONS <br /> 5.1 Mayor Goodwin Proclaimed April as Donate Life Month. <br /> The proclamation was receive by Mary Thompson from the California Department of <br /> Motor Vehicles. <br /> 5.2 Solid Waste Services Update. <br /> Erica Mertens, Administrative Analyst II, gave a presentation on the Solid Waste and <br /> Recycling Services contract (presentation on file with the Town Clerk). <br /> In response to Council questions: <br /> • The collaborative community clean-up for winter storm debris will begin in Glenshire. <br /> • HF&H LLC is the consulting firm that was hired by the Town. They specialize in solid <br /> waste negotiations for municipalities. <br /> • Electronics recycling (e-waste collection) is ongoing. Individuals can make an <br /> appointment with Eastern Regional Landfill to take electronics to the landfill for <br /> recycling. There is more information about e-waste recycling on the Town's website <br /> at www.KeepTruckeeGreen.org. <br /> • Meetings during negotiations have been productive. <br /> Town of Truckee <br /> April 11, 2017 Regular <br /> Page 1 <br />
