• <br /> TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br /> California <br /> RESOLUTION 2017-03 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br /> RATIFYING THE FIRE CODE ADOPTED BY THE TRUCKEE FIRE <br /> PROTECTION DISTRICT <br /> WHEREAS, the Truckee Fire Protection District ("District") is authorized pursuant to <br /> Health and Safety Code section 13869.7 to adopt building standards relating to fire safety that <br /> are more stringent than the building standards adopted by the State Fire Marshall and contained <br /> in the California Building Standards Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, on December 20, 2016, the District held a public hearing and adopted <br /> Ordinance 01-2016 ("Ordinance") adopting and amending the 2016 California Fire Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Health and Safety Code section 13869.7, the Ordinance must <br /> be ratified by the Town Council before it can take effect within the Town of Truckee ("Town"); <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Town Council wishes to ratify the Ordinance. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of <br /> Truckee as follows: <br /> Section 1. Incorporation of Recitals. The recitals set forth above are true and correct and <br /> are incorporated herein. <br /> Section 2. Ratification. The Town Council hereby ratifies the Ordinance. The Ordinance <br /> shall be effective within the jurisdictional boundaries of the Town. A true and correct copy of the <br /> Ordinance is attached as Exhibit A and incorporated by this reference. <br /> Section 3. Enforcement. Pursuant to Health and Safety Code section 13869.7(h)(1), the <br /> Town Council directs that the Ordinance shall be enforced within the Town as set forth in the <br /> applicable provisions of the Ordinance. <br /> Section 4. Filing. That the Chief Building Official is hereby directed to file a certified copy of <br /> this Resolution and the Ordinance with the Department of Housing and Community <br /> Development. <br /> Section 5. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon its adoption. <br /> 1 <br />
