TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br /> California <br /> RESOLUTION 2016-12 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE APPROVING THE <br /> APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br /> RECREATION, DIVISION OF BOATING AND WATERWAYS QUAGGA AND ZEBRA <br /> MUSSEL INFESTATION PREVENTION FEE GRANT PROGRAM <br /> WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation, Division of Boating and <br /> Waterways has adopted regulations to prescribe procedures for the collection and use of the <br /> quagga and zebra mussel infestation prevention fees for administering the grants awarded <br /> pursuant to Harbors and Navigation Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation, Division of Boating and <br /> Waterways manages the Quagga and Zebra Mussel Prevention Grant Program, which will <br /> provide funding to programs and aide in the infestation prevention of the dreissenid mussel in <br /> California reservoirs; and <br /> WHEREAS, said program established by the State Department of Parks and <br /> Recreation, Division of Boating and Waterways require the applicant to certify by resolution the <br /> approval of application(s) before submission of said application(s) to the State; and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant will enter into a contract with the State of California to <br /> complete the project(s): and <br /> WHEREAS, the Town will continue to work with regional partners in the prevention of <br /> the introduction of aquatic invasive species (AIS) into water bodies within the Truckee town <br /> limits and to educate the public on the potential impacts of AIS. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF <br /> TRUCKEE: <br /> 1. Approves the filing of an application for the State Department Parks and Recreation, <br /> Division of Boating and Waterways Quagga and Zebra Mussels Infestation Prevention Fee <br /> Grant Program; and <br /> 2. Delegates the authority to the Town Manager, or his designee, to conduct all negotiations, <br /> execute and submit all documents, including, but not limited to applications, agreements, <br /> amendments of the aforementioned project and so on as may be necessary for the <br /> completion of the project; and <br /> 3. Certifies that the applicant has reviewed, understands, and agrees to the provisions <br /> ' contained in the application requirements shown in the grant application guidelines; and <br /> 4. Agrees to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, ordinances, rules, <br /> regulations and guidelines. <br />
