CALL TO ORDER — Mayor Wallace Dee called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> 2. ' ROLL CALL: Council Members; Green, Brown, deRyk Jones, Vice Mayor Anderson, and <br /> Mayor Wallace Dee. <br /> Staff Present: Town Attorney Crabb, Records Technician Kuhlemier, Town Manager <br /> Lashbrook, Community Development Director McLaughlin, Solid Waste and Recycling <br /> Coordinator Dorr, Assistant Planner Troy. <br /> 3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE — was led by Charlie White. <br /> 4. PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> Charlie White, Truckee resident; <br /> • Requested signage for no parking on South Shore Drive from Donner Pass Road to <br /> Summit Creek. <br /> o There are only signs on one side of the street, requesting signage on both sides <br /> of the street. <br /> o The congestion in Donner Lake makes it unbearable especially in the summer <br /> months for businesses. <br /> Maia Schneider, Truckee resident, update on Truckee Day: <br /> • Nichole Dorr and Town Staff make this event happen. <br /> • 850 volunteers collected over seven tons of garbage. <br /> • Carol Sesko has volunteered to be the liaison with Truckee Day and the Arts for the <br /> Schools. <br /> • Phone books, continue to be a huge problem. <br /> o Requested the Town give a couple hours to look at ordinances. Is working with <br /> Assistant Manager Terrazas on this project. <br /> • Thanked the Town and volunteers. <br /> Nichole Dorr, Solid Waste and Recycling Coordinator: <br /> • Announced Saturday, June 19, 2010 is the e -waste day event. The Town will collect <br /> electronics, lights etc but not microwaves. <br /> o The tire collection event is on the same day. <br /> o There is a 100 pound limitation on shredding. <br /> • Saturday is the annual pine needle vegetation from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm, drop off <br /> locations included: Tahoe Donner, Regional Park and Donner State Park.
