Town of Truckee <br /> <br />California <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 94-10 <br /> <br />AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br />PROVIDING FOR COUNTY ORDINANCES TO <br /> REMAIN IN EFFECT AN ADDITIONAL PERIOD <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Town of Truckee incorporated on March 23, 1993, and adopted Ordinance <br />93-1 and Ordinance 93-21 which provided for County ordinances to remain in effect pursuant to <br />Government Code Section 57376; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, not all County ordinances have been superseded by Town ordinances and it <br />is necessary to extend the application of County ordinances not superseded by an additional 120 <br />days. <br /> The Town Council of the Town of Truckee Does Ordain as Follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 57376 of the Government Code of the State <br />of California, all county ordinances of the County of Nevada applicable to or within the area now <br />within the boundaries of the Town of Truckee immediately preceding the incorporation of said Town <br />are hereby adopted, and shall remain in full force and effect as ordinances of the Town of Truckee, <br />for an additional period of 365 days from the date hereof; except for those County ordinances <br />superseded as provided in Section 2 herein. The Council shall, following the expiration of that <br />period, review the status of Town Code adoption and may, by motion, extend the affect of the <br />ordinance for such additional 120-day periods as may be required. <br /> <br /> Section 2. County ordinances are superseded and amended by Town Ordinance Nos. 93-1 <br />to 93-35 and any and all other ordinances, resolutions, or actions taken by the Town Council which <br />in effect supersede and/or amend County ordinances. <br /> <br /> Section 3. Unless this ordinance takes effect immediately, the Town will not have the need <br />and benefit of ordinances and laws for the operation and administration of the Town; that this <br />urgency ordinances is for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, and to <br />provide additional time for the Town Council to adopt Town ordinances in a deliberative manner. <br /> <br /> <br />
