<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br /> <br />California <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-06 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br />AUTHORIZING THE ASSISTANT TO THE TOWN MANAGER TO SUBMIT AN <br />APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL TRANSIT ADMINISTRATION SECTION 5311 <br />FUNDING <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Truckee is the governing bid of the Transit service, and <br />administers a contract to operate the fixed route and dial-a-ride/paratransit services; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town has published a legal notice for 30 days noticing a Public <br />Hearing to consider the economic and social effects of the project, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Town desires to apply for said financial assistance to purchase <br />a passenger transit vehicle; and <br /> <br />WHERAS, the Town of Truckee has, to the maximum extent feasible, <br />coordinated with other transportation providers and users in the region (including social <br />service agencies). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Federal Transportation Administration (FTA) <br />Section 5311 program, and the rules and regulations for the FTA an application for 5311 <br />funds is submitted for consideration. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE <br />TOWN OF TRUCKEE that the Town of Truckee hereby authorizes the Assistant to the <br />Town Manger to submit an application, sign assurances and execute all appropriate <br />documents to initiate and process such application as well as submit and approve the <br />request for reimbursement of funds from the Department for the Section 5311 project. <br /> <br />The foregoing Resolution was introduced by Council Member Susman, <br />seconded by Council Member Dee, at a Regular Meeting of the Truckee Town <br />Council, held on March 20, 2008 and adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />Council Members; Susman, Dee, Anderson, Vice Mayor Brown <br />and Mayor Green <br />
