Town of Truckee <br /> REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> April 4, 1996 6:00 P.M. <br />Truckee Donner Public Utility District Board Room <br />11570 Donner Pass Road, Truckee, CA <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER. Vice Mayor Drake called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL. Town Manager Wright called the roll with Council Members Carpenter, <br />Cross, Eagan and Vice Mayor Drake being present. Mayor McCormack was excused from <br />this meeting. Also present were Town Manager Stephen L. Wright, Town Attorney Dennis <br />Crabb, Community Development Director Tony Lashbrook, Town Engineer Jon Lander, <br />Public Works Director Tom Covey, Finance Director Jill Fox, Police Chief Jack Bayer, <br />Town Planner Elizabeth Eddins, Associate Planner Duane Hall, Animal Control Supervisor <br />Dan Olsen and Executive Secretary Barbara Johnson. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Was led by Dan Landon. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT. None <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />5.1 <br /> <br />Sierra Sacramento Valley Emergency Medical Services Agency Presentation <br />given by Jon A. Fasana <br /> <br />Mr. Jon Fasana, Associate Regional Executive Director at Sierra Sacramento Valley <br />Emergency Medical Services Agency, presented the Town Council with January 12, <br />1996 draft of Emergency Medical Services Plan, Executive Summary for Nevada <br />County. He informed Council that Nevada County participates with the counties of <br />Placer, Yolo, Sutter and Yuba in a Regional Joint Powers Agency for regulation, <br />administration and oversight of the Emergency Medical Services system. The plan <br />consists of numerous suggestions to enhance the Nevada County Emergency Medical <br />Services. Truckee was represented by the Fire District, Tahoe Forest Hospital and <br />the Police Department. Mr. Fasana asked that the Town 0f Truckee provide him with <br />a letter of support for the Plan. <br /> <br />The City of Grass Valley reviewed and supported the plan at their meeting of <br />February 13, 1996 and both Nevada City and Nevada County are scheduled to review <br />the plan in May. <br /> <br />Councilmember Carpenter inquired about the proposed Assembly Bill mentioned by <br />Mr. Fasana in his presentation, said bill was regarding the routing of911 telephone <br />calls received from cellular phories.
