Town of Truckee <br />TOWN COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br /> February 20, 1997, 6:00 P.M. <br />Truckee Donner Public Utility District Board Room <br />11570 Donner Pass Road, Truckee, CA <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - Mayor Drake called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br />PRESENT: <br /> <br />Council Members Florian, McCormack, Susman, and Mayor Drake <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Council Member Carpenter (excused) <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br /> <br />Stephen L. Wright, Town Manager; Dennis Crabb, Town Attorney; and <br />Vicki Soderquist, Deputy Town Clerk <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEG/ANCE was led by Rachel Holm. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT - None <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember McCormack, Seconded by Councilmember Florian, passed 4-0-1 <br />with Carpenter absent, to approve the proclamation. <br /> <br />5.1 <br /> <br />Proclamation Recognizing Bill Jensen. The proclamation was presented to Bill Jensen <br />by Mayor Drake. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember McCormack, Seconded by Councilmember Susman, passed 4-0-1 <br />with Carpenter absent, to approve the Consent Calendar. <br /> <br />6.1 <br />6.2 <br />6.3 <br />6.4 <br /> <br />Minutes of January 28, 1997 - Joint Workshop. Recommendation: approve. <br />Minutes of February 6, 1997 - Regular Meeting. Recommendation: approve. <br />January Treasurer's Report. Recommendation: approve. <br />Road Committee Appointment. Recommendation: Council appoint Jerry Cayton to the <br />Truckee Road Committee. <br /> <br />COUNCIL IMMEDIATE PRIORITIES <br />7.1 LAFCo Staff Report Regarding the Sphere of Influence Report. Recommendation: <br /> accept report and direct staffto prepare letter to LAFCo for thc Mayor's signature outlining <br /> the Council's position on Sphere of Influence issues. Tony Lashbrook, Director of <br /> Community Development, stated the LAFCo Executive Officer raised the following <br /> questions: 1) consider whether or not the airport should be included in the sphere - staff <br /> response had been that the Town had dealt with the issue and decided to leave the Airport <br /> out of the Sphere and pursue the MOU; 2) consider minor county boundary line adjustments <br /> and annexation of split neighborhoods into Truckee - staff felt the Town would be <br /> <br /> <br />
