Wright, Town Manager; J. Dennis Crabb, Town Attomey; <br />and Vicki Soderquist, Deputy Town Clerk <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE was led by Dennis Zirbel. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT - None <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR (Town Council Item) <br /> <br />4.A. 1 <br /> <br />Council Authorization of Expenditures for Storm Related Repairs. <br />Recommendation: Council amend the authorization for flood related repairs to an <br />amount not to exceed $150,000 for FEMA related projects, and $450,000 for FAS <br />routes. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Carpenter, Seconded by Councilmember McCormack, <br />passed unanimously, to amend the authorization for flood related repairs to an amount <br />not to exceed $150,000 for FEMA related projects, and $450,000 for FAS routes. <br /> <br />WORKSHOP <br /> <br />5.1 <br /> <br />Presentation by Design Workshop regarding Design and Land Use <br />Recommendations for the Highway 267/Gateway (Barsell) Property. <br /> <br />Tony Lashbrook, Community Development Director, stated the site was 13 acres which was <br />part of 600 acres included in the Downtown Study. The Planning Commission <br />recommendation had been to look at development of the site for a high end hotel; analyze <br />the funding feasibility of such a project and, if found infeasible, to develop other appropriate <br />land uses and appropriate design concepts linking the freeway and historic Downtown area. <br />The property owner financed the study. <br /> <br />Tom Kline, Design Workshop, gave a slide presentation showing the property. The property <br />location tended to be a highway/auto oriented use which was in conflict with the Town <br /> <br /> <br />
