Town of Truckee <br />TOWN COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br /> April 17, 1997, 6:00 P.M. <br />Truckee Donner Public Utility District Board Room <br />11570 Donner Pass Road, Truckee, CA <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - Mayor Drake called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br />PRESENT: <br /> <br />Council Members Carpenter, Florian, McCormack, Susman, and Mayor <br />Drake <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br /> <br />Stephen L. Wright, Town Manager; Dennis Crabb, Town Attorney; and <br />Vicki Soderquist, Deputy Town Clerk <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE was led by Phillip Shott. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMIVIENT <br />4.1 Bob Hayes, Donner Lake, stated aRer some research, he determined that the construction <br />costs for a 3 foot trench, gas line, and pavement was $40-$50 at Donner Lake. Dave Spankle had <br />also volunteered to review the standards, design, permits, and specifications for the gas line project. <br />There were approximately 1,500 homes and lots at Donner Lake with an 85% buildout. Therefore, <br />it was their estimate that it would be approximately $6 millinn or less to put the gas lines in at <br />Donner Lake. He requested that the Town relook at the figures presented by Southwest Gas. <br /> <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />5.1 Resolution 97-08 Honoring Hank Schwarz. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember McCormack, Seconded by Councilmember Carpenter, passed <br />unanimously, to approve Resolution 97-08. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR (One motion approves all of tho following actions) <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Susman, Seconded by Councilmember McCormack, passed <br />unanimously, to approve the Consent Calendar. <br /> <br />6.1 <br />6.2 <br />6.3 <br />6.4 <br /> <br />Minutes of March 25, 1997 - Joint Meeting. Recommendation: Council approve. <br />Minutes of April 3, 1997 - Regular Meeting. Recommendation: Council approve. <br />March Treasurer's Report. Recommendation: Council approve. <br />Proclamation of the Continuance of a Local Emergency by the Town Council of the <br />Town of Truckee. Recommendation: Council approve the Proclamation. <br /> <br />INFORMATION ITEM: Mr. Wright informed the Council that an Initiative related to PC2 in the <br />General Plan had been submitted to the Town and that a preliminary report would be coming back <br />to Council at their next meeting regarding the impacts upon the General Plan and the procedures <br />regarding the Initiative process. <br /> <br />Mr. Crahb stated he would be preparing a title and summary which was required by law within 15 <br />days, but if there was a problem with the content of the initiative that period could be extended. <br /> <br /> <br />
