TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br /> California <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2003-21 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br /> ESTABLISHING SOLID WASTE PARCEL CHARGES AND DIRECTIONS TO <br /> NEVADA COUNTY AUDITOR FOR COLLECTION OF PARCEL CHARGES <br /> IN CSA 7, TAX AREA 03 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Nevada County Local Agency Formation Commission adopted <br />Resolution 92-06 making determinations and approving the Proposed Incorporation of <br />the Town of Truckee and reorganization of County Service Areas (CSA) which required <br />the solid waste services, rights, parcel charges, and duties of CSA 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, <br />19, and 35 to be transferred and consolidated into CSA 7 and named CSA 7 as the <br />successor Agency for Solid Waste Services for the Town of Truckee; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Nevada County has been providing solid waste services to the <br />Town of Truckee pursuant to a written agreement dated August 8, 1995; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Town of Truckee is in the process of taking over responsibility <br />for administration of the Solid Waste Franchise Agreement from Nevada County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Nevada County at the request of the Town of Truckee has been <br />collecting solid waste parcel charges to fund the provision of solid waste services in the <br />Town of Truckee; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Town Council has conducted a public hearing and set the parcel <br />charge for residential solid waste services at $123.97 per year; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Town Council has authorized the Town Manager to enter into an <br />agreement with Nevada County to collect parcel charges for solid waste services; <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE <br />TOWN OF TRUCKEE, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. It is requested that the Nevada County Auditor place a $123.97 parcel <br /> charge for solid waste services on the tax rolls for parcels in Tax Area <br /> 03. <br /> <br /> 2. The Town Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with <br /> Nevada County and take necessary actions to direct the Auditor in <br /> properly and successfully placing the 2003-04 solid waste parcel <br /> charge on the tax rolls for collection. <br /> <br /> <br />
