TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br /> California <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2003-24 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br /> APPROVING AN APPLICATON AND CONTRACT EXECUTION FOR <br />FUNDING FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />BLOCK GRANT PLANNING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ALLOCATION, AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF <br />A GRANT REQUEST UNDER THIS PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $35,000 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Truckee desires to study the <br />Economic and Blight reduction opportunities that may be created by converting <br />the Truckee Railyard to mixed use development through analysis and reports <br />funded through the State of California Community Development Block Grant <br />(CDBG) Planning and Technical Assistance Program Economic Development <br />Allocation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a public meeting was held in December, 2002, to inform <br />residents and property owners and other interested persons of the scope of the <br />CDBG Program and to seek input from the public regarding other potential <br />activities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the notice for a public hearing was duly published in <br />accordance with state regulations and a public hearing was held on June 19, <br />2003; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF <br />THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The Town Council has reviewed and hereby approves an application <br /> for $35,000 to study the Economic and Blight reduction opportunities <br /> that may be created by converting the Truckee Railyard to mixed use <br /> development. <br /> <br /> 2. The Town Council has determined that Federal Citizen Participation <br /> requirements were met during the development of this application. <br /> <br /> 3. The Town Council hereby approves the use of General Funds in the <br /> amount of $5,600 to be used as the Town's cash match for this project. <br /> <br /> 4. The Town Manager is hereby authorized and directed to act on the <br /> Town's behalf in all matters pertaining to this application. <br /> <br /> <br />
