Town of Truckee <br /> <br />California <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 93-31 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE ADDING TITLE 10 SECTION 10.17 <br />TO THE MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING INSTALLATION OF AUTOMOTIVE <br />TIRE CHAINS <br /> <br />The Town Council of the Town of Truckee Does Ordain as Follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. Enactment. <br /> <br /> Title 10 of the Truckee Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding Chapter I 0.17 <br />thereto to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 10.17.010. Permit Rea_uire~, <br /> <br /> It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in the business of installing or removing <br />automotive chains on any vehicle upon any state highway or other public roadway within the <br />boundaries of the Town without having first obtained a pe,.fit issued by the Sheriffofthe County, <br />and in the event of the installing or removal of chains on State highways, a permit issued by the <br />Division of Highways in addition to the permit required by this section. No additional permit issued <br />by the Town shall be required. <br /> <br />Section 10.17.020. <br /> <br />The enforcing authority for this section shall be the Chief of Police of the Town of <br /> <br />Truckee. <br /> <br />Section 10.17.030. Penal _ty. <br /> <br /> Whenever any provision of this section is violated by any person, such person shall <br />be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and punishable by a fine of not more than One Thousand Dollars <br />($1,000) or by imprisonment in the County Jail not to exceed six (6) months, or by both such fine <br />and imprisonment. Each day's violation of this section shall constitute a separate and punishable <br />offense." <br /> <br />Section 2. Repeal. <br /> <br /> Any and all provisions of the Nevada County Code in conflict with Title 10 of the Truckee <br />Municipal Code as herein enacted, is hereby repealed as incorporated by reference by the Town of <br />Truckee. <br /> <br />Section 3. Posting. <br /> <br /> Within 15 days after the passage of this Ordinance, the Town Clerk shall have it posted in <br />the three (3) public places designated by Resolution of the Town Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
