TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br /> California <br /> RESOLUTION 2017-53 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br /> APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORTATION PLANNING <br /> GRANT PROGRAM FUNDS FOR THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE TRANSIT CENTER <br /> RELOCATION FEASIBILITY STUDY <br /> WHEREAS, the Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant Program, funded through <br /> Senate Bill (SB) 1 — the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017, will provide funding to <br /> maintain and integrate the State's multi-modal transportation system; <br /> WHEREAS, the Town of Truckee is eligible to receive funding for certain transportation <br /> planning related plans through the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans); <br /> WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation is currently accepting project <br /> proposals for the"2017-18 Call for Projects" through October 20, 2017; <br /> WHEREAS, the Town of Truckee operates Tahoe Truckee Area Regional Transit <br /> (TART) that provides fixed route service and paratransit service to seniors and to persons with <br /> disabilities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Town of Truckee is proposing to submit an application in the amount of <br /> $100,000 to conduct a Transit Center Relocation Feasibility Study; and <br /> WHEREAS, the grant program requires an 11.47 percent local match funding; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Town of Truckee has, to the maximum extent feasible, coordinated with <br /> other transportation providers and users in the region (including social service agencies); and <br /> WHEREAS, if selected for funding the Town of Truckee will enter into an agreement <br /> with the California Department of Transportation, Division of Transportation Planning. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE DOES <br /> RESOLVE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. Authorizes the filing of an application for Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant <br /> Program funding for a Transit Center Relocation Feasibility Study. <br /> 2. Authorizes the Public Works Director/Town Engineer or designee to conduct all <br /> negotiations, execute and submit documents including applications, agreements, <br /> certifications of assurances, amendments, reimbursements, reports, or any other documents <br /> ' required related to the aforementioned study. <br /> 3. Commits the required 11.47% local match if the study is funded. <br />
