TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br /> California <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2003-12 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF <br />TRUCKEE, CALIFORNIA, MODIFYING THE SCHEDULE OF FEES AND <br /> CHARGES FOR TOWN SERVICES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Town of Truckee has conducted an extensive and <br />exhaustive analysis of its services, the costs reasonably borne of <br />providing those services, the beneficiaries of those services, and the <br />revenues produced by those paying fees and charges for special services; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Town wishes to comply with both the letter and the <br />spirit of Article XIIIB of the California Constitution and limit the growth of <br />taxes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Town has established a policy of recovering the full <br />costs reasonably borne of providing special services of a voluntary and <br />limited nature through the enactment of Ordinance 98-04 and Resolution <br />98-39, such that general taxes are not diverted from general services of a <br />broad nature and thereby utilized to subsidize unfairly and inequitably <br />such special services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 66016 the <br />specific fees to be charged for services must be adopted by the Town <br />Council by Resolution, after providing notice and holding a public hearing; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, notice of public hearing has been provided per <br />California Government Code Section 6601§, oral and written <br />presentations made and received, and the required public hearing held; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution 98-39, Resolution 2001-05, and Resolution <br />2001-21 established specific fees and charges which the Town Council <br />desires to modify to reflect the minor changes in costs associated with <br />inflation and modified procedures that have occurred since the fee <br />schedules were adopted; and <br /> <br /> <br />
