Town of Truckee <br /> REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br /> March 7, 1996 6:00 P.M. <br />Truckee Donner Public Utility District Board Room <br />11570 Donner Pass Road, Truckee, CA <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER. Mayor McCormack called the meeting to order at 6:04 P.M. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL. Town Manager Stephen Wright called the roll with Council Members <br />Carpenter, Cross, Drake, Eagan, and Mayor McCormack being present. Also present were <br />Town Manager Stephen L. Wright, Town Attorney Dermis Crabb, Community Development <br />Director Tony Lashbrook, Town Engineer Jon Lander, Public Works Director Tom Covey, <br />Police Chief Jack Bayer, Finance Director Jill Fox, Town Planner Elizabeth Eddins, <br />Lieutenant John Tranner, Deputy David Ladd, Deputy Ron Phelan and Executive Secretary <br />Barbara Johnson. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE was led by Steve Teshara. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT. None <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />At this time Captain Jack Bayer introduced Deputy David Ladd and Deputy Ron Phelan who <br />were both recently hired at the Truckee Station. Council welcomed the two Deputies and <br />thanked Captain Bayer for introducing the Deputies to them. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Mayor McCormack announced that items 5.2 and 5.4 will be deferred to a future meeting. <br />Mayor McCormack further announced that Council will move item 9.1 up on the agenda to <br />be heard next. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBER REPORTS (taken out of order) <br /> <br />9.1 Railroad Merger Update <br /> <br />Mayor McCormack stated that item 9.1 is scheduled as a non action item presented by the <br />Railroad Committee consisting of Councilmembers Cross, Eagan and Town Manager <br />Stephen Wright. <br /> <br />Town Manager Wright informed Council that there will be two presentations given by the <br />two consultants Mike Christensen of Nolte and Associates and Dan Wilkins of Leigh, Scott <br />and Cleary. <br /> <br />Councilmember Eagan stated that the Railroad Committee did meet with Stacey Krum of <br />Senator Feinstein's Office March 2nd.
