TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br /> California <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2002-70 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br />ACCEPTING THE SCGL GRANT FOR THE TUCKEE RAILYARD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Truckee has prepared and submitted an application for funding <br />through the Sustainable Communities Grant and Loan Program administered through <br />the Offices of the State Treasurer and the California Pollution Control Financing <br />Authority (Authority), and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town has received notice from the Authority that its application for <br />$350,000 grant has been tentatively approved subject to conditions as outlined in the <br />November 5, 2002 letter from Steve Sakurai, Executive Director for Authority and further <br />that written acceptance by the Town is required by January 5, 2003, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town Council is committed to pursuing the project as outlined in the <br />grant application, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF <br />TRUCKEE as follows: <br /> <br />1. The Mayor is authorized to sign the commitment letter on behalf of the Town of <br />Truckee. <br /> <br />2. The Town Manager is authorized to execute all future contracts and commitments <br />related to the Grant. <br /> <br />The foregoing Resolution was introduced at a Regular Meeting of the Truckee Town <br />Council, held on the 19th day of December, 2002 and adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES:Vice Mayor Susman, Councilmembers Florian, and Ingalls, and Mayor <br /> Owens. <br /> <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Threshie <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Pa('t Osborne, CMC, Town Clerk <br /> <br />Ted Owens, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
