Town of Truckee <br /> California <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002-32 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br />APPROVING AN APPLICAITON AND CONTRACT EXECUTION FOR <br />FUNDING FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PLANNING AND <br /> TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, <br /> AUTHORIZING SUBMISSIONOF A GRANT REQUEST UNDER THIS <br /> PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $35,000 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Truckee desires to study the <br />revitalization of the Riverfront for its citizens and by conducting a Riverfront <br />Revitalization plan funded through the State of California Community Development Block <br />Grant (CDBG) Planning and Technical Assistance Program Economic Development; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a public meeting was held on February 26, 2002, to inform residents <br />and property owners and other interested persons of the scope of the CDBG Program and <br />to seek input from the public regarding other potential activities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the notice for a public hearing was duly published in accordance with <br />state regulations and a public hearing was held on June 20, 2002; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF <br />THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The Town Council has reviewed and hereby approves an application for <br /> $35,000 for a Riverfront Revitalization Study. <br />2. The Town Council has determined that Federal Citizen Participation <br /> requirements were met during the development of this application. <br />3. The Town Council hereby approves the use of Town Funds in the amount of <br /> $5,600 to be used as the Town's cash match for this project in addition to <br /> $49,400 to augment the work. <br />4. The Town Manager is hereby authorized and directed to act on the Town's <br /> behalf in all matters pertaining to this application. <br />5. If the application is approved, the Town Manager is authorized to enter into <br /> and sign the grant agreement and any subsequent amendments with the State of <br /> California for the purposes of this grant. <br /> <br /> <br />
