TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br /> California <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2002-12 <br /> <br />Authorization for the Public Works Director/Town Engineer to submit and <br />administer the RIPARIAN AND RIVERINE HABITAT PROGRAM GRANT under the <br />Safe Neighborhood Parks, Clean Water, Clean Air, and Coastal Protection Bond <br />Act of 2000 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the RIPARIAN <br />AND RIVERINE HABITAT PROGRAM, which provides funds to the State of California <br />for Grants to Local agencies and federally recognized California Indian Tribes to <br />increase public recreational access, awareness, understanding, enjoyment and <br />protection of California irreplaceable rivers and streams; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the California Department for Parks and Recreation has been <br />delegated the responsibility for the administration of the Program and the grant project <br />shown above within the state; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said process established by the California Department of Parks and <br />Recreation require the Applicants Governing Body to Certify by resolution the approval <br />of the Application before submission of said application to the State; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Town of Truckee will enter into a contract with the State of <br />California for the Project. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE <br />TOWN OF TRUCKEE as follows: <br /> <br />1. Approves the filing of an application for local assistance funds from the <br /> Riparian and Riverine habitat program under the Safe Neighborhood <br /> Parks, Clean Water and Clean Air and Coastal Protection Bond act of <br /> 2000. <br />2. Certifies that the Applicant has or will have sufficient funds to operate and <br /> maintain the project. <br />3. Certifies that the Applicant has reviewed, understands, and agrees to the <br /> General Provision contained in the Contract shown in the Procedural <br /> Guide. <br />4. Appoints the Town's Public Works Director/Town Engineer as agent to <br /> conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including, but <br /> not limited to, Applications, agreements, payment request and so on, <br /> which may be necessary for the completion of the Project. <br /> <br /> <br />
