TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br /> California <br /> RESOLUTION 2017-40 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF TRUCKEE <br /> ADOPTING REVISED RECREATION FACILITY MITIGATION FEES AND RESCINDNG FEES <br /> PREVIOUSLY ADOPTED IN RESOLUTION 2016-47 <br /> WHEREAS; the Truckee Donner Recreation and Parks District, hereinafter the "District", <br /> is the local government entity responsible for providing recreation and park facilities within the <br /> Town of Truckee; and <br /> WHEREAS; the Town Council pursuant to California Government Code Section 66000 <br /> et seq. may impose a fee as a condition of approval of a development project to defray all or a <br /> portion of the cost of public facilities related to the development project, including facilities for <br /> special districts that provide services within the Town of Truckee; and <br /> WHEREAS; the Town Council on September 13, 2016 adopted Resolution 2016-47 <br /> imposing a mitigation fee for recreational facilities; and <br /> WHEREAS; the District Board of Directors on May 25, 2017 adopted Resolution 2017- <br /> 261 requesting the Town Council to adopt and implement an increase in the mitigation fee for <br /> recreational facilities; and <br /> ' WHEREAS; the Town Council met on the matter on August 8, 2017 and accepted oral <br /> and written comments from the public and interested parties and considered such comments <br /> before taking action. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Council of the Town of Truckee <br /> adopts the following recreation facility mitigation fees on behalf of the Truckee-Donner Recreation <br /> and Park District: <br /> Housing Type Fee, effective September 22, 2017 <br /> Single-Family Housing $1.86 per square foot <br /> Multi-Family Housing $2.67 per square foot <br /> Single-Family housing includes detached units, attached units (townhome), secondary <br /> residential units and mobile homes. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Town Council of the Town of Truckee hereby <br /> rescinds the recreation facility mitigation fees adopted by Town Council Resolution 2013-39. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
