4 ENVIRONMENTAL EVALUATION <br /> <br /> <br />4-1 <br /> <br /> <br />This chapter consists of 15 sections that evaluate the environmental impacts <br />of the proposed Canyon Springs Subdivision project. In accordance with <br />Appendix G, Environmental Review Checklist, of the California Environ- <br />mental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, the potential environmental effects <br />of the proposed project are analyzed for the following environmental issue <br />areas: <br />¤ Aesthetics <br />¤ Agricultural and Forestry Resources <br />¤ Air Quality <br />¤ Biological Resources <br />¤ Cultural Resources <br />¤ Geology, Soils, and Seismicity <br />¤ Greenhouse Gas Emissions <br />¤ Hazards and Hazardous Materials <br />¤ Hydrology and Water Quality <br />¤ Land Use and Planning <br />¤ Noise <br />¤ Population and Housing <br />¤ Public Services and Recreation <br />¤ Transportation and Traffic <br />¤ Utilities and Service Systems <br /> <br /> <br />A. Format of the Environmental Evaluation <br />Each section in Chapter 4 generally follows the same format and consists of <br />the following subsections: <br />¤ The Regulatory Framework subsection contains an overview of the feder- <br />al, State, and local laws and regulations applicable to each environmental <br />review topic. As the development of the proposed project would be re- <br />quired to adhere to all applicable federal, State, and local statutes and reg- <br />ulations related to construction and operation, compliance is considered <br />part of the overall project.
